Only Michael Bay movie that can be liked without guilt. Great action, cast, and script (the villain actually has depth, as the twist near the end shows, and the dialogue includes some hilarious gems).

Energetic, loud, dumb and extremely fun and exciting 90ies action movie!!!! Saw the movie today for the first time in many years and was still as pumped as when i saw it 15 years ago in the cinema. Miss Sean Connery :-)

With an uncredited writing team that included the likes of Aaron Sorkin, Quentin Tarantino, Dick Clement and Ian La Frenais, is it any wonder much of the dialogue absolutely shines? Plus Bay’s frantic editing style has never been more suited than to the race-against-time plot, and Nick Glennie-Smith and Hans Zimmer provide what might be the greatest action movie score ever composed. Magnificent.

'Cause I'd take pleasure in guttin' you boy.

John Mason: Are you sure you're ready for this?

Stanley Goodspeed: I'll do my best.

John Mason: Your "best"! Losers always whine about their best. Winners go home and fuck the prom queen.

Stanley Goodspeed: Carla was the prom queen.

John Mason: Really?

Stanley Goodspeed: [cocks his gun] Yeah.

Often touted as Michael Bay's best (or is that most bearable?) movie. I think that's a title that belongs to "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen," but this film isn't all that bad either. I wouldn't call it good, though.
