"I'll kill every man woman and child to get peace" - Peacemaker.

Great line and there were more.

The film is fun but the CGI was too much even if it was fairly 'effect'ive.
Brutal gore from the start and often 'what am I watching?!'.
Pace was ok, no qualms with acting. Decent action. Not much peril. Gutted a scene I have wanted to make was innovative here.
Average 5/10 but people will keep watching this, I wouldn't again. I had to rewind when they say 'three days earlier' as I missed it and was confused by the next scene

I totall agree to chunkylefunga.

In the old comics all of them were villains, psychos and bad people but in the movies they eventually have to act as heroes so the final result is boring.

I imagine this is the "real" James Gunn.

I liked it, but then I adore Margot Robbie's Harley. Giant starfish was a bit surreal and I was on the verge of 'what the hell is this s**t.!' but then the killing started so it was okay again.. :)

Three things that bothered me a lot.

1. The violence. I'm not squemish but most of the blood and gore in here, made me feel uncomfortable because of how meaningless it was. I'm not asking for a commentary on violence a la Peckinpah, but do something more than just show it. Even somebody like Tarantino, who gets criticized for it, knows when and how to use violence effectively, whether it's just a moment (the flowers covered in blood in Django) or an entire sequence (The Crazy 88 fight in Kill Bill). Not every random death needs to be an explotion of guts. One of the best scenes was Harley's escape which became memorable the instant it stopped with the blood.

The same goes for the language. I believe there's an art to cursing, but this never went beyond "Fuck this... fuck that". It was like a 10 year old wanting to be cool.

2. spoiler. But the movie is too lazy and weak (or you can just say mainstream) to treat this guys as the villains they're supposed to be.

3. spoiler.

Overall, it's just fine as long as you see it as nothing but disposable entertainment.
