Pretty much every scene in the movie had an another story behind to discover and analyze just like the other movies of Almodovar. This one is the first Almodovar movie that i've watched. Even though i almost finished his all filmography, for me, All about my mother is his best work in terms of the way he used the script and showed backgrounds of the strong characters.

A strong story, almost too strange too be real and some great directing. Almodovar uses a beautiful style and is exceptional when it comes to directing actors.

To get the full effect make sure to watch 'All About Eve' and 'A Streetcar Named Desire' first!

Quite a unique story but I must admit that I hardly finished watching it.

Not a fan. All the twists and turns in the plot, quirky editing and changes quickly became tedious. The first thirty minutes felt like hours, and the rest was more of the same.

I should also say, comparisons to All About Eve and A Streetcar Named Desire are nothing short of absurd. Those two films are masterpieces of classic cinema, this is infantile and hackneyed in comparison. I'd instead suggest watching those two, and forgetting about this.
