It is what it is, a bad non-stop action flick. I believe your experience will be heavily influenced by what you expect, and I expected nothing at all.

It was no more than an ok watch but the horrible ending left me with a really bad after-taste. Why on earth didn't they have a longer fight between optimus and the two main decepticons?!

Other than that what really stood out to me (other than Megan fox' tits) was how bad the editing was. So many scenes got cut up with huge holes in the middle, why the fuck did they do this? It made me cringe every time.

Raises everything in the first to absurd levels (action, number\size of robots, comic relief, gratuitous shots of hot women), while overcomplicating the plot and having a third act that is hectic beyond relief. Can serve as braindead fun, but it's impossible to watch without feeling you've just been hit by a truck.

I didn't hate this as much as the first one, but I think that's because my expectations were so low. Lots of people defend Michael Bay by saying he's just another maker of big, dumb action movies. I legitimately think he's worst than most for one reason: continuity. Shot to shot, characters will be in vastly different locations, and some things make absolutely no sense. In one scene there in the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum, they exit through a backdoor into a huge, grassy field full of derelict aircraft. In downtown Washington DC. Lots of directors make dumb movies, but the lack of care that goes into Bay's movies really makes you feel that he has the attitude of "Fuck you, you'll see it anyways, why should I put in any work?" He doesn't care about his movies so why should I?

Better than the first. Atleast the plot is a bit more developed. The movies are still dragged out. Fightscenes are overly long and after a while you just wish they'd get on with it. They could've easily done this in less than 2 hours but they just added (too) much. Shia Labeouf character is growing on me. Megan Fox character is still a drag. Good visual effects though. Good for a non-thinking movie with lots of flash and little of content.

Not everyone likes movies for the story, the acting, the filming, etc. Some people like movies for their special effects. People like that have movies like Avatar, Star Trek, Iron Man and Transformers as their favorites. Nothing wrong with that.

Just remember: There are many ways to like a movie.

P.S. My opinion is that, besides the special effects, this movie is complete and utter rubbish.

64 favs. Dear oh dear. Luckily more than three times as many has put it on dislike so there is some "justice" in the world. Well I suppose I should respect the taste of those who liked it, I suppose they must have found something good in it, but to me it was just boring trash. Almost fell asleep, and on top of that it was just (IMO) stupid. Well well, opinions are opinions and taste is taste.
