Incredible film. Crammed with symbolism and moments of beauty, terror and total utter randomness. As strange as you'd expect a film adapted from a surrealistic Czech novel from the 1930s to be. Short too.

Very strange movie. Surreal. Reminds me of movies like Jodorowsky direct. The montage was also fantastic.

There's also a criterion upload on hulu. Pray, nay, beg the video gods - sacrifice a virgin if you must - that this most beautiful of films gets a pristine blu-ray release from them, or the BFI, or somebody.
