Nice movie with a great plot and soundtrack. But the James Bond kind of villain and other cliches were unnecessary. Others Corbucci westerns as Il grande silenzio and Il Mercenario are much better.ucuruju
Let's get one thing clear right now: the theme song is fucking awesome. Overall this is a great movie-- I'd imagine that seeing it on the big screen with a rowdy crowd is the way to go but I enjoyed it a lot nonetheless. Corbucci's westerns sometimes tend to be a bit more cartoonish than other spaghettis-- the amount of scenes where our two heroes massacre entire platoons of soldiers is kinda ridiculous-- but the virtuoso direction and Palance's villain set the tone so we just roll with it. Just fun fun fun with a heavy dose of political commentary too.Gappi

Along with "Il grande silenzio" this has to be my favorite Spaghetti-Western of all time. It's fun, It's violent and it does have the most amazing score. Thanks Mr. Corbucci.
