Come on, guys. You liked this movie, didn't you? If you were a fan of the show, you liked this movie. Admit it. I heard about a reviewer who gave it a negative review because it "was for the fans". Well no shit it was for the fans. They essentially paid for it. Either way, it stayed true to the Veronica Mars spirit.

If you watched the show and did not like it, you will not like this movie. If you liked the show, you will like this movie! This is probably the movie I have seen that has been the closest to its origin. In short, this is a Veronica Mars episode with bigger production and more minutes, and for that, this movie deserves 10/10.

If you did not watch the show at all, I would recommend you to watch a few episodes from each season before you watch this movie, if not it may be hard to understand the entire story.

I can't see how this would not appeal to a Veronica Mars enthusiast. And if you aren't a fan of the show, why even watch this movie? I thought it was a lot of fun.

The best thing I can say about the Veronica Mars movie is that it made me want to watch the TV series all over again (so I am). While not opaque to people who never watched the series, it IS the ultimate in fan service and acts like it. Many characters (including some obscure ones) make a return as Veronica returns to Neptune to solve one more mystery AND attend her 10-year high school reunion (plus inside jokes). For fans, it's fun to reconnect to this world, and everyone slides right back into their old roles (with a few new faces thrown in for good measure). While the film does have a TV movie feel - it's not shot in a way that would be too jarring when watched back to back with the series - it does use its time wisely and has something to say about its protagonist. Veronica is treated as an addict. Her vice is solving mysteries and getting into trouble. Could she ever give it up?

Eh, felt like a longer episode but with less substance. At least it gave the story some well deserved closure.
