It has a lot of the anti-establishment sentiment that a lot of Italian exploitation had, but it's just hitting the same notes that someone like Aldo Lado hit almost a decade before in Short Night of Glass Dolls.

It cribs a lot from Romero's Dawn of the Dead (military as amoral force, etc.) but also uses the imagery (and stock footage) that was widely a part of the Italian cannibal pictures at the time.

It's interesting, but far from good. Which is kind of Bruno Mattei's trademark.
