Interesting comments. I guess I have a different perspective being from Northern CA and knowing the attention this school received during this time period. 10 years ago -

The first half hour was really boring and I had no idea where they were going with this, so I quit watching. But a day later, I decided to give it another shot while I was eating, and it turns out I stopped watching just before something big happened. From there on out, it was a very good movie. As a whole, it was far from perfect, but the road from zero to hero (well sortof) was really good. I like to leave football movies with a sense of inspiration, and I certainly got it with this one. 8 years 7 months ago -

I expected something akin to Remember the Titans. But this was different and much worse. The constant Christian soul searching, why-God-why, got on my nerves very quickly.
I didn't finish the film and happier for it. 9 years 11 months ago
