Timely viewing for 11th September - a damning indictment of American foreign policy and its growing, implacable war machine of the past half century - Jarecki puts forward a compelling argument that war is now a fiscal necessity to the USA, decisions are being made by contractors and think tanks outside of the corridors of power and puts the final nail in the coffin of the legality of the invasion of Iraq (if such a nail were needed). Like all good documentaries it troubles as it informs, and vitally asks the questions and provides some answers that the western media don't (or can't) address and gives a voice to the Iraqi people sorely neglected amidst the carnage of "shock and awe".
