This is rather sadly overlooked. It's flawed, certainly, but it's a lot of fun - a surreal & deliberately OTT take on the conspiracy thriller. Jeff Bridges in the lead, and a whole of array of recognisable supporting figures (Sterling Hayden, Toshiro Mifune, John Huston, Richard Boone, Elizabeth Taylor - nonspeaking, Eli Wallach, Dorothy Malone, Ralph Meeker, Anthony Perkins). John Huston particularly excellent.
If that ain't selling it, I'd also add there's something almost proto-Lebowski about it, thanks to the presence of Jeff Bridges & the bizarre, convoluted plot he is drawn into. 12 years 5 months ago
