@Knaldskalle - believe it or not but many ICM users doers not use IMDb. Furthermore, ICM is about all the films you have seen, while on IMDb you have to rate them. I became a member of IMDb 5 years ago and now I'm removing ratings because it's too long since I saw them, which means that I can't stand for my ratings anymore. So all in all, the new ICM will be a great tool for a lot of people.
It's not too important, but I thought you should know that there are no ex-titles of TSP's top 1000. The reason why there are 13 more titles there is because some films listed as one title on the original list is considered as multiple films/short films by IMDb.
I'm not sure why nominees aren't official. I find the Oscar Nominees more valid and official than 90+% of the lists on this site. I will agree with previous versions, but none of them were nominated. The ex-titles list can be argued either way, I'm on the fence with that one.

Unfocused and shallow. It does have moments of brilliance. I particulary liked the doctors walk and when we see events from a different perspective. If Bela Tarr had more cinematic quality it could have been better but a lot seemed badly planned and half arsed. His love for shots where people walks till they are just a tiny black spot is just plain weak. The technique can work for endings or if they have some sort of importance but here it was just a nuicance. We saw next to nothing of the characters and I suppose they didn't matter too much. Most of the dialog was just really uninteresting and a lot was just plain dumb. This is the second Tarr film I have seen. Liked Werckmeister Harmonies despite it's shortcomings, this was just decent, close to being really poor at times. I give it 5/10. Not sure why this gets respect.
I rarely say this about films but this one felt really dated. Wellman tries to show up with techniques that weren't fully developed. Some works well, but for some theres a reason why we didn't see more of it, like the camera following the swing. At times it gets a bit too comedic for it's own... good and it's way too patriotic. The first half is entertaining enough, the second part is basically just a lot of shooting and explosions, the characters aren't all there either. Feels like a blockbuster no one should be giving much thought anymore.
None of us have done anything that would remotely affect this site.
Ok, true. We have made two lists - most checked and most favorited. And yes theres a ranking system and a small recommendation department.
That's it. Nothing more. In fact, the site would stay pretty much exactly the same without us. We could all delete our accounts right now and the site would still be what it is. This is getting ridiculous. n20300, if you feel insulted by this then you should probably just leave. No offense, we all say dumb things, but that is just utterly out of the blue.
And the donation button has been sitting there for quite some time. It's obviously not working as well as it should. Do you really think going one on one with users asking for donations would work? Now that would actually be insulting.
If you were buying a product you would help the production, that's very true. However, you are just using a product for free. A product that does not need any of us to exist. This sites only way to make money is to do this. Ads would bring in next to nothing for a site for such a small culture as the avid film buffs.
I agree with LCWymer. The cries are utterly ridiculous. Everything you have now will be free. Why are you complaining? Why would people get scared and run? You are getting a free improvement and all you do is bitch?

Erik/Piet we are glad to help and this is great. What are you're stance on TV episodes and video games?Could there perhaps be a choice that can eliminate these for those of us that don't want to see them pop up when we are looking for movies?

@beeswaxOne of them is Dog Star Man, which IMDb counts as 5-6 short films.
I believe another one is Histoire(s) du cinéma which is 8 films.
