So little plot for a film over two hours long, but I liked how the main characters each found a little note of salvation in the end. I totally agree with LiquidSplitter saying it was almost like a proto-Robert Altman film.
I'm trying to decide whether this is the worst international film I've ever seen.
Most of the film is in English, and it's as if the actors AND screenwriter have no idea what they're saying. The acting in this film just defies description, it's so terrible.
Fun music + animation short, a la Len Lye and Norman McLaren. The director has 25 credits on IMDb, but seemingly just one of his films has been imported to ICM.
I gather this actually encompasses three Lynch shorts: "Steps," "Sunset" and "Interior Dining Room." "Steps" is by far the most interesting. They're on YouTube....
Fun, verrrry-'60s animation set to Hamlet's famous soliloquy. Read by Maurice Evans, who makes a peasant like me recall his role as Samantha's father on "Bewitched."
How bad can a '60s movie with Oliver Reed and Rita Tushingham be? Answer: pretty bad. I watched about half of this and couldn't take it anymore. Mostly a two-actor film, where one is mute and the other is putting on an awful French-Canadian accent.
Mix of live action and animation, where a young woman at a table torments an small animated man by taking away his cigarette. AKA "The Story of Tobacco."
The directors make a cross-country drive, captured in quick glimpses from a camera positioned in the backseat. The sights and car-radio offerings steadily change with the territory. Simple, delightful concept.

One great dance sequence, and the rest is nauseating. And no one in the cast has any charisma except Jane Powell. The movie was about 80% over before I realized the girl who looked like Catwoman really WAS Catwoman.
Curse you Leonard Maltin, for forcing me to watch this to get a Platinum on your list.

Danny Devito in a broad satire about a Senate candidate who's obviously shady. I wanted to love it, but it was all just too obvious and on-the-nose.Movie comment on The Disc of Sorrow Is Installed
