Animation is sometimes iffy and the performance of the voice actors is rushed and laughably out of pace sometimes (they go from anger to apologizing literally in 0,5 seconds).
The character design changes throughout the movie and I don't know if this was a concious decision or not. Some people might like the diversity in designs and some will like the evolution of the characters but it can also be disapointing when they change a design you initially liked. Overall I think the changing design was pointless and probably did more damage than good since the constant change of designs makes animation more difficult and seems more unnatural.
I like the narrative but it suffers from pacing issues, the movie is too damn fast, which makes an interesting story like dante's inferno a complete mess.
It shocks me every time I think to myself that, this absolute masterpiece, was made back in 1940. Filled to the brim with biblical references and a classical tale of temptations guiding people through the wrong ways.
Excellent movie. You can watch it multiple times and still make out new stuff from the background or the characters themselves. Truly a work of art that'll never be forgotten.
The perfect gangster movie and Martin Scorsese's magnum opus if you ask me. Great actors that were born to play these roles. A greedy irish son of a bitch (Robert de Niro), a rude and borderline psycopathic italian manlet (Joe pesci) and an american lowlife that craves respect in the form of a tuxedo, black shoes and a gun in his pocket (Ray Liotta). Shows the luxury and brutallity of gangster life; in Karen Hill's words:
"I know there are women, like my best friends, who would have gotten out of there the minute their boyfriends gave them a gun to hide. But I didn't. I gotta admit the truth, it turned me on."
Plenty of characters with amazing evolution through the film and great cinematography. I still clench my asshole everytime I remember Robert de Niro making up his mind about killing his own gang while smoking a cigarrette in his black tuxedo, combed back hair and Cream's Sunshine of your love playing in the background, simply perfect.
How a man takes over a drug business and converts it into an empire. The struggle for power and the consequences on the flesh and the mind are reflected in our cuban illegal immigrant, Tony Montana; a likeable anti-hero that gets caught up in his hunger for power.
The third of the great distopias of our time. Geroge's Orwell's 1984 taught us about totaliratism, Aldous Huxley warned us about mass manipulation through eugenics, new technologies and drugs, and Her shows us how a future world where Apple has beaten Google for the control of the technological market and people command computers with their voice and fall in love with them.
It is a world where an OS (as they call it) can converse with you, organize your emails, learn about the wrold and even mantain relationships with humans of meat and bone. The spectator can see how the world becomes infatuated with these OS's and people decide to stop breeding to have voice sex with their Alexa machines.
I wanted to shoot myself in the head during the whole movie. The characters were annoying and were too stupid to realize that following down the river would have solved their problem since the beggining. This little issue ruined the atmosphere and I didn't feel scared at all at any moment.
Would not recommend to anyone who knows how to use a map, tell the 4 cardinal directions with the sun or have some basic survival knowledge.

Good horror movie that puts blaire witch project to shame, with an actual monster and a damn fantastic design, 10/10 for the monster.I'm actually impressed Netflix made this.

Amazing adaptation (and extension) to the amazing short story titled "The shadow over Innsmouth" by H.P Lovecraft.Choosing Spain as the place for the cult was a great choice since it gives a foreign and alien vibe to the movie.

Very original movie but it gets lost in itself with a confusing narrative that has to be complimented with a narrator that doesn't fit the theme.Showing items 26 – 50 of 52
