Like "The Great Dictator" by Chaplin the message is the most important, and to me it is really powerful, but the rest isn't the best. Thankfully it get's really good towards the end so the end result is pretty good, but not the best.
This movie is great when it's at its craziest with scenes like the hilarious piano scene and whenever "kung fu" goes ape shit, but the rest drags it down significantly.
Solid, just like the first one but in a different way. With less action in this one, which to me is in this case a negative, it is rebounded by better dialogue and a more interesting plot.
Both are really good movies in their own way. Hopefully there will be a third in the not too distant future.
Pretty good but has a less interesting story and far less interesting characters than LOTR. Just after leaving the theater I couldn't remember which of the dwarves had what names. But it's way better than what the haters are saying. The 3d + 48fps worked REALLY well and made 3d finally pleasing to the eye. One thing that bugged me though was how similar this movie was to the fellowship of the ring.
Still really good and I look forward to the rest of the trilogy.
What a shallow movie. Absolutely nothing was believable, and they waste the first 1 hour to build up absolutely no proper characters. Every character feels super rushed and pointless. All the action is shaky cam and most of the deaths are totally uneventful... Also the two main characters don't even mention the fact that he tried to help the others kill her? There are so many stupid and nonsensical moments.
Junk movie made for young teenage girls who enjoy trash movies regularly...
I put off watching this for so long because of the comments, but now after watching it I don't understand why people say it's so disturbing...
I guess it's like with Cannibal Holocaust. Pointless gore, poor acting and poor production quality results in a shitty and very forgettable movie. A lot of silent scenes doesn't make it good, well at least in my book...
I guess this type of gore doesn't affect me. But know that I'm a guy who turned off Saw III because of the pointless and fucked up bone-crushing opening scene...
FYI there is a censored version which is missing about 4 seconds of a fake cut up boob. ref: http://movie-censorship.com/report.php?ID=703039
Totally agree with seithscott. Great movie but towards the end it got a bit messy. The many cutaways to the mob forming etc was too long and somewhat killed the suspense. But then for the finale watching the phantom ride the horse carriage was utterly fantastic.
This one is awesome. It is pretty funny as well as having disturbing parts, I totally love the balance they ended up with. Claude Rains is great as the villain and the special effects are totally fantastic.
The only downsides are: the length, the over the top women and how laid back the Cranley's are to the invisible mans killings.

Eastwood is fairly good in this but the rest is pretty crap. Watching "Theo" "act" made me almost want to turn it of. A very mediocre movie...Also in America today

So fucking bad. I have actually thought the previous movies in the series have at least been mildly entertaining but this one is horrendously bad...They make so much money off this series and this is the best they can come up with? Unbelievable...
