It's similar to The day after, but it isn't mawkish at all.
decent movie, but I'm sorry to say it has nothing to do with masterpieces such as Requiem for A Dream, even though Heath Ledger here is superb. Jared Leto was, imho, even better anyway.

You can't just mock or dislike this movie. Without this and other movies, we probably wouldn't be talking about checking movies or something like that. So we all should know this was a real masterpiece, and it still is.
