I Loved this. Very few documentaries on Cinema have this form of rawness and livability, most usually take place in a nice little room collaborating forced interviews with Cast and Crew.
My 2 most favorite genres are comedies and musicals so I was prepared to love this. But it was shit. And the stupid songs are encouraging my headache. How is this on any list?
@devilsadvocado there is no way you can disguise a bad movie as a good one. You either like it or don't. If people find or feel something deep then that feeling is genuine. I feel your problem with the film originates from how pretentious aspects of the film feels. it does at times tend to feeling like an Oscar snob.
The Opening Reminded me of Amadeus (1984). I'm not sure of the post History of the film and it's adapted sources, but it seems like a copy and paste rip-off.
