I'm a big Greengrass fan, but this one was surprisingly shallow. He might as well have subtitled it "things I learned about the Iraq War by reading Time magazine in the dentist's office."
I'm surprised to see all the "meh"s on here. For a movie of this length, the script's amazingly tight; hardly a line of dialogue goes by that isn't setting up for a future incident or event. I've seen in 10-15 times and still never been bored with it.
Morgan Freeman's amazing, but the rugby scenes were pretty blah. No context, no suspense, no discussion of strategy, just 30 guys ramming in to each other over and over.
