Excellent episode, and this might be the one and only time I wanted the killer to get away with it.

The joy it brought me when Columbo caught these two killers, this has got to be in my top ten episodes of Columbo.

Ida was right about Veda: "Personally, Veda's convinced me that alligators have the right idea. They eat their young."

Diana Rigg might be my favorite Bond Girl in the entire franchise.

This mini series is great, the in depth history of the sport is fantastic, even for someone like me who is a baseball fanatic I learned so much that I didn't know about the history of the sport. The footage of the 1900-1920s is great so much of it that I had never seen before.

Nothing has taught me more about loss than baseball. To quote A. Bartlett Giamatti
quote:
Baseball was designed to break your heart.
Which also teaches you to appreciate the good things even more. When the mini series reached the 2002 WS tears were running down my face but they were tears of joy, this documentary brought back all the memories of watching my team win the WS, I remember every thing about those games like it was yesterday.

My only small complain is that it tends to sometimes focus too much on the east coast teams NYY/BOS. But other than that kudos to Ken Burns for making such a great mini series.

What an underrated film great performances by Jeanne Moreau, Shirley MacLaine, Alain Delon, Ingrid Bergman and Omar Sharif. I think my favorite vignette was the Ingrid Bergman and Omar Sharif one. 4/5 stars.

I just re-watched Paddington and it really is a beautiful and whimsical film, it reminded me of a Wes Anderson film. While yes it is a children's movie its message is a wonderful one for both adults and children as well.

This film caught me by surprise it has a lot of genuinely funny moments and Maggie McNamara is so charming as Patty O'Neill. While both William Holden and David Niven were great in their roles, Maggie McNamara was the stand out. Her performance earned her an Academy Award nomination for Best Actress.

This film had been in my watch list for sometime and I kept putting it off. Based on reviews I thought that this wasn't a movie that I would like. I'm not a sentimental person yet this movie warmed my heart in a way that so many other films that have dealt with similar topics have failed to do so.

So thanks Martin Scorsese for having this movie on your must watch list otherwise I might have kept further avoiding it.

The action scenes are incredibly well done. The film does start slow however, I think this is a film that would be accessible to those that would like to get into silent cinema. I found The Grim Game much more enjoyable than other films in the 1910s list, so I'd like to see this film eventually make it onto that list.
