Thanks for creating this list, I love this director.
I think https://www.icheckmovies.com/movies/primer+intonatsii/ should be included!

It's in an early Bergman, Musik i mörker.. Played by the protagonist.

A memorable scene which points forward to the famous subtitled scene in Annie Hall, some cool chemistry between Tracy and Bennet and a great dialogue about coffee. The rest is mostly dated comedy and sound recording problems.

I had some hopes for this one, since the director made the excellent Dancing in the Rain. This time however, the attempts at cinema poetry is ruined by bad acting, a plotline who could be for a mediocre tv-movie, slovenian Gainsbourg-wannabe pop music failing or - most of the time - the director being too horny. Best line in the film is spoken by a parrot. There are certain qualities to be spotted (the boy is good) and some of it is entertaining to a degree... But this experience was sadly far from the beauty of Dancing in the Rain.

Creative implementation of dream logic with the tools available in 1942 by l'Herbier. Many good ideas on the technical level, well executed. And it looks very good (espcially the lighting is always well done).

But there's a bit too much unfunny silliness. The performances gets annoying. Harmless entertainment, pointless entertainment. 1942 style over any kind of subtance relevant at any point in time.

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Stylistically creative, but a shallow piece of cinema compared to his best films from the 60's.

Wojciech Kilar... Such a great composer. One of his most beautiful scores... Good film too.

Only seen Travelling Players so far. Would definitely not call it "mainstream trash".

Several interesting titles, will check some of them out. Keep it up!

Excellent job, thanks! I hope more national lists become official. And not only some "random" awards-lists, I much prefer critical selections like this.

List is looking good, thanks!

I don't know what happened at LOB, a fan must have added the film. Or the director himself, who knows. Haven't seen it myself, maybe it deserved a spot. Speaking of which, I miss Is-Slottet on the list. You can die in peace without having seen Kautekeino-opprøret. But Is-Slottet OTOH..

I suggest Monty sells his collection of Turkish films, and donates the money to the site. Should buy dozens of servers.

Shop Around the Corner is probably one of the movies you can see after you're dead.

That and Rififi.
