Beatrice Dalle is a seriously strong candidate for the most intriguing actress ever. Her command of the camera is on whole special level. Her films are rather hard to find, but i still managed to watch over 10 - even when film feels amateurish, she does not only make it watchable, but also tends to turn it into something unique and even fave-worthy.

Even some bits of the great episodes like ''2Shy'' and ''Field Trip'' destroy this weak, but not dislike-worthy effort.

Matt Damon can be described as a boyish version of Schwarzenegger. I find him fairly convincing in this role and he is the reason why i won't dislike this one... what's up with that editing as if people who make these sort of films are on speed or something like that. At times you can hardly tell who did what.
My fave is the first film from 2002, by the way.

It would work well if the fantasy elements are low-key like in the other Gondry film ''Microbe & Gasoline''

This is incredibly lame and uninspired that i am thinking of un-disliking H20 (1998). Jamie is a likable actress and it is another example of star power, in other words: i watched this only because she is in it.
Just leave these old films in the past unless you have something truly interesting to offer.

Yes, it's captivating despite its slow pace because it's very different - it has a meditative feel to it, especially if you are in the right mood - you can be hypnotized by the dream-like style. Can be considered the best in Vengeance trilogy which i find hard to genuinely like.

Some potential here and there. Hardly ever compelling with that cgi effects which are one of the better (i guess), but still this didn't work overall. Bong's weakest film (haven't seen Okja yet) - he has enough talent to make a decent/interesting film. Snowpiercer is really something, though i have to re-watch it in order to be sure if it's a fave.

While i do understand how can one find this one to be a mess, there is something about it that i like very much - i think Rodriguez is very much aware of his surrealistic style of action staging, and sometimes works very well, sometimes not so
Desperado is the strongest film in ''El Mariachi'' series, it sort of has the ''perfect'' budget/production for that sort of film.

Beyond awful. Easily in bottom 10 films i have watched.
Embarrassing.

It was hard to decide between this and Gloria (Gena Rowlands)... still, Tilda rocks so much here and the film is truly one of the most suspenseful, sort of ''top 10 thrillers'' material in the last 20 years.

Not sure if this will end up in my faves, but it's a showcase why Steve Buscemi is one of the best actors in the world.

Now that i watched everything directed by James Cameron (from Terminator to Avatar) - i think he is truly becoming one of my fave filmmakers. He really has that wonderful sense for making action-packed and adventurous experience. There is hardly any dull moments in his films.

After Terminator 1 & 2, Titanic is my third fave. It's actually very hard to decide - i need to mention the under-appreciated Abyss. Cameron turns pretty much everything into gold, well... except spoiler - while it has some interesting aspects and even depth, i wasn't drawn in overall. Some parts held my attention, but most of it felt like a disjointed mess.

Again for Titanic, my message to prejudiced people who think it's ''cool'' or whatever to hate it: no reason for that, especially if you haven't even watched it.

Watched it three times already in less than one month.
Clever, exciting, entertaining and just damn amazing.
Cannot decide what episode i like the most.

Re-watched it after a long time. Holds better than most or many James Bond films. Style and suspense serve as an example for other filmmakers. However, the problem with this film is severe lack of realism - anybody remotely intelligent would or should admit that. I would't mind if it's some lesser Schwarzenegger film for example, but we are talking here about highly acclaimed film - a ''true Hollywood classic''. But then again, this is more like an ego-trip for Cary Grant overall.
Very ending is interesting though - abrupt and ambiguous. spoiler

Despite what many would say, this is one of the most gripping fantasy films ever made. Ultra-stylish and tightly paced as can be expected from director Luc Besson. Incredibly imaginative film that genuinely grabs attention.
There is a spiritual depth to it while not taking itself too seriously. Many sci-fi and fantasy films try too hard to impress, but ''Lucy'' is extraordinary without feeling forced and overlong. It is very slick and mind-blowing to watch. Cast is also very interesting, unlike in that mediocre ''Fifth Element''.
As i suggested/implied: it's better to watch ''Lucy'' from spiritual side rather than scientific. It suggests (at least to me) that our state of mind and spirit are the most important things. Forget those numbers, whether being 30 or 100 percent. It's irrelevant. Point is: high spirituality = high intelligence.

For some reason i wasn't interested to watch Argento's debut up to recently. First i have to say that some people's attitude towards these dream-like and surrealistic films is wrong.
It's not right to call them dumb, illogical... since they are not meant to be realistic, but multi-layered puzzle that is cross between Hitchcock & Buñuel.
This film is a decent example of stylish mystery, however it is a bit of an unfocused mess towards the end. It's not too original, but Argento is an A-class filmmaker compared to amateur Fulci.
Oh, and i see where Carpenter got inspiration... for example: when Michael Myers is stalking Jamie Lee Curtis - some shot compositions are pretty much the same.

Re-watched it recently after more than 10 years. It still feels fresh, very enjoyable and of course: wonderfully cast - my fave film from both leads.

It's baffling how these sort of films get internationally acclaimed. Firstly, why would you hire actors only to be dubbed by other actors ? Why didn't they just hire Dragan Nikolić instead of that main guy?
I guess this mediocre director Petrović badly needed to be recognized in the world. He did a similar mistake when he hired Serbian actors like Bata to play gypsies in ''Skupljači perja'' (how dumb). International cast makes sense in some spy film for example, certainly not here in this dull and uninspired little film.
Also, i am a fan of ''starogradska'' and folk music in general, but this film heavily depends on it - very music-filled and so repetitive that i was extremely annoyed by it.

Original and unique, no doubt about it. My only issue with this film is those ''comic'' elements (accordion man, occasional goofy behavior of some characters..) could have been subtler, perhaps even completely excluded.

If you thought ''Štićenik'' and ''Leptirica'' are interesting, this one is almost if not on the par with them. Đorđe Kadijević is one of the most interesting filmmakers, not only in Balkan area, but in the whole world.

Such a beautiful-looking western. Despite the lack of action, it keeps attention very well.
Could be my fave Bronson western.

Ridiculous amount of zoom-ins and zoom-outs, overusing of the same tune and overall blatant amateurishness is incredible. It seems that there was so much waste of celluloid in the '70s, as if people had access to camera like nowadays where everybody can film anything.

World's greatest action heroine Michelle Yeoh accepts a very dark role here and i appreciate her bravery. One of the films that is hard to like, but very memorable.
