The final shot in this film is an homage to the opening shot of Pialat's À nos amours, which also starred Sandrine Bonnaire.

A much more subtle (or maybe nonexistent?) score would have helped this film a good deal.

I'm confused by whymse's vimeo link. The 00:56 mark clearly shows a shot of Tom Hanks in Philadelphia, but Philadelphia wasn't released until 1993 (four years after this short), and Philadelphia isn't listed among the films used in the IMDb link. Am I incorrectly identifying the film in the 00:56 mark, or did someone add more films than the original short possessed? Is this the right short? I can't view tomsalad's link to compare.
