I was expecting something much better.

The acting was great, the directing was good, and the cinematography gives us an old-movie feeling that I love but...it lacks a lot and due to that, it's just a well-done movie and nothing else.

The script wasn't interesting enough to keep me watching but I still did expecting it to become better - it didn't, it got more monotonous with time which doesn't necessarily mean an uninteresting script but in this case, it did. If everything else was incredible it would balance the script, but just because something is technically well done doesn't mean it will be good.

Maybe the reason why the movie didn't work is because it was obviously made to run for the Oscars and a lot of what makes a movie great was forgotten.

Couldn't make it past half of it.
All I've heard for years is how beautiful and amazing this movie is and now that I finally (partly) watched it...can't stand it.
This is what happens when men try to represent something they don't understand. Unfortunately, a lot of us got so used to expect so little from movies where our relationships are being depicted that many of the community ends up loving unreliable representations.
I was able to understand the director's concept and what he was trying to achieve, but for me, it was too unrealistic to bear.
The cinematography and rhythm were amazing but, again, the technical aspects weren't enough to keep me watching.
This movie has a great concept and plot, but even with the director's best intentions (if he had any) and pretentious-yet-good vision it is, nevertheless, just a poor male fantasy of what a connection between two women is.
If I were much younger or straight I would probably like it, since I wouldn't feel nauseated by the realization of how even well-intended men view people like me.

Liked this movie more than I was expecting. I assumed this was going to be more fast-paced, because of the theme, but I loved the chosen rhythm. The cinematography was beautiful.
PS: I'm pretty sure I've seen this before when I was a tweenie...

I was reluctant into watching this as it is a non-verbal documentary but I wish I had done it sooner. The images of the humdrum life are more than enough to keep the spectator glued to their seat, completely mesmerized. Besides the beautiful images, kudos to the editing for making it seem exciting and almost fast-paced. If it weren't for that the film could've easily been too monotonous to gain our attention.

I've been into the whole riot grrrl movement for many, many, many years. I still remember the first time I've heard Bikini Kill in High school, which was over 10years ago. When I heard about this movie, I got very excited. Then I saw the trailer ad my expectations were low.

I enjoyed this more than I was expecting. Moxie is nothing but a teen movie with an exciting idea and a great message. I think it missed some interesting development opportunities, and the script was very sugarcoated, but this doesn't need to be necessarily bad. Although I wished for something more serious, being the way it is, it can help teens (especially tweenies) to start a conversation.

Looking forward to showing this to my siblings in a few years.

Very well done but also very boring (to me).
I thought it was very realistic but after reading many reviews I found out it isn't....oh well...

Enjoyed this more than I was expecting.

Many technical aspects are bad in Hollywood terms, but hey, isn't it part of the Bollywood charm?

Still, I'm not sure if it deserves to be on the IMDb's lists. It seems overrated in my opinion. There are way better 90's and romance movies that could be there instead of this.

It's not that I didn't enjoy it, but it's quite weak in comparison to the original. It had many interesting themes, but unfortunately, they weren't explored as they should. If they were, it could have been much more exciting. The reason why this didn't happen is probably because they tried to compress too many ideas in such a short time.
One of the things that I loved the most about the original is how they weren't scared of the public not feeling sympathetic towards the protagonists. spoiler On this one, the mistakes the characters do are shown as being innocently done.spoiler
Might watch it again, with the younger generation in the family. Still, I wish the movie was darker and focused a bit longer on the craft. The only thing that frustrates me is that if they took a bit longer to develop the David Duchovny character spoiler, it could have been WAY better.

A masterpiece. The composition and cinematography are absolutely brilliant, you can pause the movie at any moment and it will look like a photograph or painting. The use of colors (lightning+wardrobe+set) to express emotions is very well used and probably the most interesting concept in the movie -Definitely, what makes it worth watching- Also, kudos to the soundtrack.

The script itself isn't that startling, nor plays a big factor, but it's raw and manages to portrait reality and be authentic. It lacks to show many interesting subjects/relationships that could be better developed but the point of the movie is to focus on Murphy+Electra and nothing else (to my shame). This also helps to manifest how Murphy mind works. He's not a likable character, quite the opposite. Although is hard to like and feel sympathy for the characters, Murphy is most easily hated. Maybe this is a turn off for many people (it sure made me mad all through the movie).
Unlike many, I believe the acting was good. It was not brilliant but it got the job done. For example, the actress Klara Kristin can channel her character- Omni- feelings even though she keeps being ignored all the time nor has a voice nor space for her to be.

To sum up: You'll either love or hate it. If you are able to enjoy and understand all the technical aspects you'll probably love it, but, if you watch it for the story you'll most likely not be amused.

Great documentary.
The only thing I would add is that not everyone, if not most, who buys fast fashion do it mainly because they don't have the economics to chose other options+ the textiles materials mostly used nowadays have low quality=faster damage=more buys.

Plus, I don't think most western people know what's actually going on in the industry.

If you really think about it, it is a cycle and the only ones benefiting from it are companies.

It's actually better than what I was expecting. By the trailer you would think this is only a big trashy party but there's actually more into it. From the reviews I've been reading a lot of people have been complaining about the plot being bigger than what they would enjoy and the party not lasting the time they wanted.I like it better this way since I enjoy a good plot and wouldn't like just a party-no matter how crazy it would be.

Like the trends of the last holidays' movies this has different small stories for all characters but they all entwine. So, if you are looking for getting really in deep with a character this won't happen although they are good constructed, but, again, I don't think anyone was expecting it.

Obviously, this is not genius but I think it's very entertaining and funny. I also need to point that the cast is absolutely brilliant and they knew exactly who to pick for this.
I will definitely watch it again.

This is a raw and strong documentary.
Much more than sadden me, it really left me frustrated and revolted.
This, people, is why a lot of girls feel ashamed when abused or/and raped because somehow that's their fault. They are the ones accused of being irresponsible, asking for it, etc. They are made fun of and bullied by others as if the trauma itself hadn't be bad enough.

Underrated.
Well written and great acting.
Obviously, it is not a masterpiece but still good and interesting.
Probably the reason why not many people rate it higher is because of the lesbian part. Some people are angry about it and say it didn't happen. Others say there is a lot evidence of it...but, again, it may also be a made up story to defame Kristina since many disliked her. Whatever you believe- watch it. You don't lose anything by doing it.

It sucked. What a waste of potential. It looks like they didn't even try to make it look good, and only did it for the sake of putting it out for cash. The CGI was an absolute disgrace and shamefully, specially when you consider how much money was invested in it.
I really enjoyed the 1st movie- it was a good funny family one. The 2nd not as good as the first in my opinion but still enjoyable. This one...what a shame
