La Lange really should have won the Oscar for this!

Why is Mughal-E-Azam (a 1960 film) in a 1950's list?

@ Ivn0716 Easy: one rightfully falls in love with Max Ophüls. This is a masterpiece in spite of Joan Fontaine's ridiculous performance.

Dolan's most mature, relaxed and assured film, to date!

Robbed of the Palme d'or at the Cannes Film Festival.

@arsee Gurl bye! Mommy should have won the Palme d'or, but this was one of the best alternatives. Levaithan would have been one of the worst.

A joyous, poppy explosion of colour, music, feathered tail pieces and 3-D confetti. It's like a spiritual ancestor of a Vincente Minnelli film!

You guys think this is bad (I haven't seen it yet, but have no desire to)? Try watching 4.5 HOURS of Michael Snow with ‘Rameau’s Nephew’ by Diderot (Thanx to Dennis Young) by Wilma Schoen. I was in Hell.

Yeah, this is one of the worst movies I have ever seen. I had to force myself to finish it!

I am so shocked that a film this popular, enduring and iconic does not appear in any top lists!

Has this really been fixed? The #249 entry, Let the Right One In has a 12.8% fav ratio, while #250, L'atalante, has 13.1%. And there is a lot off the list that has a higher % of checks, like El (1953), just to name one.

The Wrong "Face to Face" is listed here. Faccia a faccia (1967) is included instead of the 1976 Ingmar Bergman film, Ansikte mot ansikte.

Absolutely beautiful composition, as we should come to expect from Thai Joe. I hope that this film will blur into my dreams!

So will the movies that are currently not in any top lists (like Trolosa or The Deep End) be deleted from the calculation of one's overall ranking?

I love this! Of all the cartoons I've watched (for the cheap checkmarks), this is one of the few I've actually enjoyed. :)
