Toastinator might be misinformed. This is not a remake, but it does have a connection to the evil dead universe. It is like the Bourne Legacy where it builds upon the universe but does not involve the original characters.
probably the worst one out of all four. it is also not a reboot. it takes place before and between the events of the first movie so in a sense it is kind of like that they did for the thing (1981) and the thing (2011)
This one is great and is probably one the better modern horror movies to come out of Japan, but I do see they tried to milk the franchise like Freddy and Jason and the later sequels after Ringu 2 and Ringu Sprial tend decline,
I feel like dc saw people complaining about how dark their movies were and how marvel was doing well so theyre trying to copy their style. that is why blue beetle and these movies look so similar in styles

Honestly, this movie was not that great. it was way better than old, but in his last few movies, the twists have not been great and were really easy to tell. it feels like he is losing his touch.
