One of the biggest things I disliked about this movie (besides the fact that it was boring, predictable, shallow, and so uninteresting) was that it seemed to suggest that the Beatles are only popular because of their songs, when in fact it’s because of the whole package and the era they came out of. Jack has absolutely no charm, charisma, or anything remotely likeable about him and I find it so implausible that he’d become so famous, especially in 2019. God everything about this movie bugged me- Kate McKinnon’s character, the bland and unbelievable love story, the poorly-performed music, the pointless Lennon “cameo,” Ed Sheeran in general, Jack’s one and only facial expression and asshole behavior...Alright I’m done.
