Must See for everybody. Probably not 100% accurate, but nevertheless so so so important for understanding what the world turned til these days. It‘s a shama that this is on no official list.
Interesting what they say, but this ongoing fast cuts with randomised imagery just fucks my brain and brings no further tension or value, it just does it make quite unconsumable. Just in the last third it has parts that in pace and collage are just fine.
Nice basic idea and with the end monologe it gets a suprisingly transcendend direction.
What I couldn't stand is, this small subliminal programming of the coffee drug(hack) thing and the very expossed farming lobby propaganda in the beginning, when they doctor of the institute says "this harmless insecticid".
Also this idea of a radioactive cloud that boost you to something and not kills you or makes you sick at least, is a quite dull perspective of that time, a programming of the masses not to question nuclear power too much.
What to say? A lot of things are adorable in this one, but the final scene really looks like a hack. A tribe from “heaven” that erases all memory, before you go to paradise(?). Weird and very questionable.
Love all of his last three movies, but this one was disappointing at last. All the good thing of the dancing scenes, doesn't bring points for the over simplifcating plot and the attempt to put this unplausible mess of character reactinons, into wide reaching philosophical term. Sorry, but that hurts.
Sorry, that film is in so many ways a sloppy movie. Not even the semi-interesting explanation about witchcrafting and magic in the last third, can bring this thing up for me.
