I know, Armand, and I'm really frustrated this bug isn't solved. I'll explain.

To make this list, I'm using the page on moviemeter.nl that lists all the movies on Prime. I simply export the list on moviemeter, so I rely on their work. Around September 2019 a major bug occured and hundreds of movie were added to that list on moviemeter and links to Prime appeared on the pages of all those movies. Unfortunately, those movies weren't available in our country. I've been complaining about it since. At first it didn't seem to have priority for the staff, but lately they seem to have tried, but can't fix it. It's an automated process, so they have to program the scraping of Prime. Last thing I heard was that Prime upgraded their safety, so scraping seemed to be harder. It should be possible though, because justwatch and other similar sites are doing the same thing.

After the bug in September the new additions were added correctly. Hence I don't buy the argument about safety. They just have to solve the problem of September. Anway, because new additions were added correctly since, I kept updating the list. Every month the titles showing up as "new" are really the new additions. So it's still useful, or at least to me.

I hope the problem will be solved. If they do, I'll post here.

Btw, I'm doing the same thing every month for Netflix, Disney+, NPO Start, Videoland, Film1 and Cinemember. At the moment Disney+ is broken as well, so the list I have on iCM is two months outdated. The other lists are fine and are being updated once a month.

Thanks, CineFagos. I'll add it to the list once the new title has been processed by iCM.

@few visible scars
No official 'ruling'. I'll try to investigate this one again since it has been almost four years since I last looked at it.

Announcement:
Next Monday (March 9th) most official lists will get new names. The naming of lists have always been a bit messy, so we've decided to change most names so the naming is as consistent as possible. So next week you'll find the lists at another place in the alphabetical order. Also some links (like the ones in this blogpost) might be broken for a short while, because the urls will change. Redirects to the new urls will be made as soon as possible after the name change.

@72aicm:
At least we always try, but in the past there have been cases we made another decision, if adopting a full list didn't seem like a good idea. If a local newspaper journalist voted for the home video of his neighbor's nephew (figuratively speaking), we made decisions to make a 2-vote cutoff. The alternative would have been not to adopt the list at all and wait for a better list to come around. We'd be happy to look into those lists again to see if we can find a better solution.

I don't agree with you that the current examples of Cinema Tropical and TSPDT1001-2000 are cases of not following the source. Cinema Tropical presents the full list at its website. The name being "Top Ten" doesn't mean we should only make the top 10 official. That would be a rather pointless list. TSPDT presents the next 1000 at its website. So its a list available to adopt as official list. The logical thing might be to add it as separate list as presented on the source, but we thought consulting the userbase about expansion would be a good idea. So far "separate list" is winning the poll, so that's probably what's going to happen.

We are aware of the changes at the office of Cahiers, but it’s too early to tell what will happen with this list. Still lots of months to see how things turn out.

I just added four titles to the lists that weren't on IMDb previously. These five titles are still missing on IMDb:

Taiwan: Watching the Spring Wind Blowing (1938)
Heartbroken Night on May 13 – Lin Bochiou (1965)
Dangerous Youth – Xin Qi (1969)

The Middle East: The Thirsty – Muhammad Shukri Jamil (1972) [al-Zama'un]

Don't mistake this for Arrival of Immigrants, Ellis Island (1906). jvv's link is correct.

Don't go for that low quality version on archive.org. There is a bluray of this.

No, AndrewB, again that's simply Wonder Ring flipped horizontally, so still not the right one.

@OttoElPiloto: Thanks. I looked into it and you seem to be right. The runtime and the subject matches the description in the Unesco document.

@Mario G: That's not the right episode. What you posted it this one.

It's not really clear if that footage on the Unseen Cinema set really is Death Day (or is there something in the booklet that I haven't read?). At least if it is Death Day, it isn't all of it. You can rent a 15 minute version on Lightcone.

I just removed Gion matsuri from this list. The movie is lost and Bill (the guy who's behind TSPDT) confirmed that it was actually a mistake and the movie shouldn't have been on the list in the first place.

I can't agree with you on that one, wowwee123. There is some old footage in this, which might be excerpts from the footage of this Unesco-title. But the whole clip on youtube is clearly a recent short doc about the events, including interviews and other info. If you add up all the old footage, it's certainly not 14 minutes. So if that footage is indeed the right footage, it's certainly not complete.
