It's a very delicate theme and you knew that you were going to be left heartbroken... But with a strong theme, you've to have a great story line... I didn't feel that. The plot was not that good, the characters weren't developed enough. Felt more like a documentary than a movie, skipping from one horror to the other... I don't like when a movie is more about punishing the viewer than presenting a good story. As much respect as one can have for all of those who suffered in the world history of slavery, this is not as good as it could be.
One of those films that at the end you'll get the sensation that the beginning happened in another lifetime. It's very long but not boring at all. Loved the photography. If you enjoy period films do not skip this one ;)

Breathtaking animation, as always. The plot is ok... better than Brave, but not even close to other Disney classics. The one really bad thing is the music. I've never watched a Disney movie feeling annoyed when the music kicks in... Please never let Christophe Beck near Disney again for the sake of every Disney fan =|

So so boring... Cheap wine philosophy, uninteresting characters, long pointless dialogs... Even in a bad day I've more interesting conversations than that. I had a hard time finishing it. Just terrible.
