I actually liked this movie. I love Jane Fonda and Robert Redford together. Jane Fonda looks very stylish in this film. But I have to say that I am a sucker for 1960's Redford so maybe that's why I liked it more than most. I never found them irritating.
Sidney Poitier and Rod Steiger are amazing and work great of each other. But I think Rod Steiger plays a more complicated character, he wants to solve this case but is held back by what people think the sheriff should act like towards African-Americans. The film is very suspenseful and I was so afraid at the end when
Poitier was surrounded by the people of the smalltown, it was great that he got himself out of that situation just by talking and by using his intelligence.
I still don't know how to feel about this movie. It is one of the most absurd films I have ever seen and I can honestly say that I never knew what the next scene would be like. So it knew how to keep you interested. But there was no character development and that bothered me when I started thinking about the film.

This is quite boring. Except for Damon and Freeman there isn't something worth watching. 5.5/10Movie comment on Barefoot in the Park

Great film. One of my all time favorites. The ending always gets me, Gavras is great in capturing the outrage that the leftists felt when
