This movie was terribly boring. And the special effects aren't even that great, even though it was made almost 50 years later these effects can't even touch 2001. This movie needed an original script and well thought out characters.
The direction is incredible and the writing is fast and witty, not even mentioning the groundbreaking special effects that still look cutting edge to this day. This movie is a masterpiece and a classic.
