This first episode is a decent illustration of the novel (Dune Messiah), but far from great.

A.K.A Dangerous Obsession

Kind of interesting D'Amato flick that reminds a bit of "11 Days, 11 Nights".

If you want to know what happened in Bosnia in 1995, then this film is for you.

If you want to know why it happened, this film leaves you totally in the dark.

The short is on vimeo, but also watch the feature film, if you have the opportunity. It's more of the same, and more.

Aesthetically stunning (visuals and music), and for the first time I was not COMPLETELY lost in the story.

Didn’t expect anything, was pleasantly surprised. Brilliant, funny, entertaining. Only the end was a bit too much.

I really enjoyed this. Feels like a nice short novel, at times funny, and overall a good murder mystery.

This is a very interesting concept! How exactly do you calculate this?

Edit: Apparently you took the best movie for any given runtime. I had thought you calculated a quotient of imdb points per minute.

Incredible that this is from 1963. It looks and feels like a music video from the 1980s, even though the music is much older.

Features Marlon Brando, James Dean, Jesus and Hitler.

I haven’t seen this movie, but isn’t it strange? It has 3 checks and 4 dislikes.

Apparently two very different cuts of this exist which tell very different stories. In one of them the whole affair is told in retrospect as a courtroom drama. Avoid that one.

So being queer and being a revolutionary coincides. Who would have guessed?

@Sviggolo
Indeed, this is basically a remake of Douglas Sirk's “All That Heaven Allows” with Julianne Moore as Jane Wyman, Dennis Haysbert and Dennis Quaid both as Rock Hudson. Interesting move to split him into two and making his real life tragedy part of the film.

This is like the more serious version of The Trial of the Chicago 7. I recommend watching them back to back to see how much better this movie is.

Definitely better than the Peter Jackson movies.

Odd that there is not a single female character in the whole movie. As far as I remember that's how the book goes, though.

Basically "Solaris: The Horror Movie".

I liked it far more than the first movie. Real life stuff is much scarier than fantasy monsters.

Expected this to be a bit tedious. Instead it was pretty entertaining and funny.

Any film with Buster Keaton, Harold Lloyd or of course Charlie Chaplin is funnier than this.

Very enjoyable thriller, but come on, the story is ridiculous.
