Does anyone have information on how to watch this, "Lyon, place Bellecour" and "Le marechal-ferrant" by the Lumieres? I don't even mind shelling out cash for a set. I noticed that the YouTube links were removed for copyright infringement, which leads me to believe that someone owns the rights to the films and has put them on DVD.

Everything from the stage is good. Music, story, acting is solid.
Everything film is bad. The direction, the clausterphobic abundance of close-ups with a total of like two establishing shots, the sound, the cinematography (washed out like Nolan's Batman films, where it's not a problem), the editing (I could've sworn I was watching a Michael Bay film)...
I'd probably give it a 5/10, with 5/10 being average (leaning toward bad) and 6/10 is average leaning toward good. The music is great, but judging it as a film it's not very good.
Sunrise was the same year as Wings, 1927-1928, and received a different award. Some people consider Wings and Sunrise co-winners but Wings won the award that eventually became "Best Picture."
Surprisingly delightful. Sure it comes across as a little cheesy in parts, but all in all a very fun film that doesn't take itself too seriously. Very good movie!
