Snyder completely misunderstands all of the characters (except Alfred I guess,) and downright hates Superman. We have a film that I wouldn't suggest kids could even watch and heroes that are actually just mopy murderers.
Ignore all that and you still have mess of a film with poor pacing, no character motivations and a final act which is just a mess of CG.
Big fan of the director (imported Wages of Fear and Diabolque blu-rays years ago.) This is his first feature and is a very witty and clever murder mystery. Plenty of memorable characters and excellent direction. UK Blu-ray is stunning.
This had a lot going for it. I loved that the basic premise had the protagonists trying to solve something, but the ending never offered any feeling of conclusion or fulfilment. I actually thought it wasn't over...just biding time for a twist and the...credits. Worth seeing though.
