Guess i always loved westerns, simpler times, fewer people and after all the action and excitement of the Spaghetti-Westerns - Peter Fondas THE HIRED HAND felt like a natural progression. Just a guy that had enough of the drifter-life and wants back home. Something solid, something to make sense of. A gorgeous, poetic movie accompanied by one of my favorite soundtracks by the great Bruce Langhorn.

The only saving grace of this nonsense is the lovely Soledad Miranda.

Don't think I've seen a film quite like this before.

Ok, just when one thought they must have seen every HK bloodshed flick that is to be seen, comes along "King of Gamblers". The ludicrous body count must at least be half of Hong Kong. 55 minutes of gambling + 30 minutes of shoot-outs = insane ridiculous fun.

Quintessential Italian Police-movie and easily the best collaboration between Lenzi and Merli. Score by the almighty Franco Micalizzi. Don't miss it.

Great stuff again from Corey Yuen, brutal action and martial arts but the movie takes it self a bit too serious ... very very watchable though.

What the hell did I just watch? Well, it was either the most amazing movie ever or complete and utter bollocks.

Solid low-budget HK Actioner, nothing special, great cast though.

Solid 80s HK actioner starring Andy Lau with your typical insanely violent finale. Just gotta love it.

A grisly, dark, violent but quite humorous revenge flick. I think I liked it.

Another great entry in the new wave of Hong Kong Action movies. Yes, they are CGI laden but we just have to adept or ... Die. It's still entertaining as hell if we can stop comparing it to the mid 80s early 90s HK actioners. So lean back an relax while Andy Lau still kicks arse with 51 years of age.

"Bullet for Hire" is easily one of my favorite Bloodshed flicks of all time. Great chemistry between Killer Simon Yam and his Protege played by the always great Jacky Cheung. Lot of bloody set pieces lots of action and a satisfying showdown. What more can one ask for !?

Gritty, downward bleak and extremely violent western. Surprisingly good story too. One of my favorites.

High octane action flick ... last 20 minutes are a nod to every heroic bloodshed flick ever made. Well done Benny Chan.
