I like classic b-movie horror, independant film and regular cinema of course, I find that any movie is worth watching even if you hate it, you can still sit and take notes of the reasons why you dislike them, poor camera work, bad writing, beautiful scenes or amazing acting.
A truley great movie to me, is one that has you mentally and physically involved with the plot, something that can make you cheer out loud for the protagonist or even weep at the emotion in a scene.
My first film as far back as I recall was ET the extraterrestrial, it terrified me at the age of 4 and since then anything with aliens in it that Speilberg has had a hand in i'm always weary of.
