Shailene woodley really shines. and I love how they didn't cover her in a layer of make-up like in so many other teen movies. realistic and relatable characters. loved it. Seriously recommend for anyone who is tired of the manufactured image of high school usually portrayed in films 10 years 3 months ago -

Great realistic portrait of teenagers lives, no frills, no hollywood style overpolishing and just the most important things in check - characters, the plotline and character development all fantastic. The characters are way more complex than first meets the eye. Also liked the fact that none of the actors were the typical teen movie looking jocks and nerds. I think the idea were good, but in the end it didnt work. The charcters are flat, we dont really get to know them, and the girl is stupid, no personality there. Yeah... didnt like it. 9 years 10 months ago
