  6. Best Bangla Movies of All-Time's icon

    Best Bangla Movies of All-Time

Favs/dislikes: 3:0. It's incredibly hard to find a good compilation of great Bengali films, specifically those made and produced in Bangladesh. This is a list I found via Google that seems to have a great air of legitimacy because the author went the additional step of explaining why each film was included. In addition, I've included the all of the Bangladeshi submissions for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film (first submitted in 2002). If any of you have further recommendations, please do let me know via the comments section or a personal message. Films currently missing on IMDb: Shutorang (1964) Roopban (1965) 13 No. Feku Ostagar Lane (1966) Ora Egaro Jon (1972) Boshundhara (1977) Dumurer Phool (1978) Chhutir Ghonta (1980) Guddi (1980) Devdas (1982) Boro Bhalo Lok Chhilo (1982) Shubhoda (1986) Chandni (1991) Hothat Brishti (1999) Meghla Akash (2002) Bachelor (2004)

    byNWR.com Exhibited Films

Favs/dislikes: 1:0. By launching the website byNWR.com, Nicolas Winding Refn sought to make available obscure films discovered and restored by himself available to the public for free. byNWR's mission is described as such, "An unadulterated cultural expressway of the arts. Born from a passion for the rare, the forgotten and unknown, byNWR breathes new life into the culturally intriguing, influential and extreme. Quarterly volumes of content divide into three monthly chapters, each featuring a fully-restored film. These cinematic revivals inspire a wealth of original content, drawn together by our special Guest Editors. As we evolve and expand, we will encourage exploration of a wide range of avenues by curators, writers and the engaged public, building a community of those who like to create, to watch, to read, look or listen. In a world of the instant, byNWR takes its time on a tangential line towards the undiscovered where we share, enjoy and look to the future with hope, prosperity and the idea that culture is for everyone." Complex's The 25 Best Graphic Novel Adaptations of All Time

Favs/dislikes: 2:0. BY KHAL, AUBREY PAGE, JOHN FLYNN, MIKE SHEFFIELD, KERENSA CADENAS, HELEN OWOLABI, MADISON HARTMAN Aug 23, 2017 If you’re a fan of today’s movies, you can throw a rock and hit like 40 different comic book-related projects. And while it’s weird that a number of these series are produced with their comic book counterparts continuing to grow on a monthly basis, there’s a history of movies that were derived from graphic novels, which at their base are more serialized comic book works. With the money Netflix is funneling into their original programming, there’s no surprised that the long-awaited Hollywood adaptation of Death Note, the wildly-popular manga series-turned-anime dealing with a magical book that grants its owner the ability to kill anyone who’s name is written in it, is premiering on the service this Friday. In a year that’s already featured (shaky) film adaptations of Valerian AND Ghost In the Shell, it’s high time we take a look at the absolute best movies that got their start as graphic novels. And who knows, maybe you might find out that your favorite film is also just as dope when you read it. Note: There are 27 films because Kick-Ass 1 & 2 Hellboy 1 & 2 are counted as single entries in the source.
