USA Up All Night (also known as Up All Night and Up All Night with Rhonda Shear) is an American cable television series that aired weekly on Friday and Saturday nights on the USA Network. The show aired from 1989 to 1998. The program consisted of low-budget films, bookended by in-studio or on-location comedy skits featuring the show's hosts. In addition to skits, the hosts would also provide sardonic comments about the featured film(s), and observations on various Hollywood- and/or New York City-area clubs and attractions (when the series was shooting out of studio). 7. 100 Years of Indian Cinema... 100 Greatest Films's icon

100 Years of Indian Cinema... 100 Greatest Films

Favs/dislikes: 12:0. A list created during the turn of the 100-year anniversary of Indian cinema. It was a painstaking process, and a lot of research was done to give this list an objective feel. The list is based off AFI's list of 100 Greatest American Films and Johnathan Rosenbaum's Alternative 100. Films of all Indian languages are present, from Hindi to Marathi to Tamil to Telugu, to even Assamese. Three major criteria were considered for this list, in order of priority: 1. Cultural/artistic impact on India and the world - most important 2. Critical acclaim in India and abroad - 2nd most important 3. Popularity/cult status - 3rd (and least) important

Favs/dislikes: 12:0. THIS IS NOT AN OFFICIAL 101-LIST! I tried to make an list inspired by the 101-Lists, so I compared a lot of lists and looked for B-Movies in these. For each time a film was mentioned in one of the lists, it gain one point. These are the 101 films with the most points.

  10. 21 Great Lo-Fi Sci-Fi Films You Need To Watch's icon

21 Great Lo-Fi Sci-Fi Films You Need To Watch

Favs/dislikes: 12:0. Lo-Fi Sci-Fi is an emerging genre of the last decade or so inspired by Mumblecore and budgetary constraints. The name is derived from ‘Low Fidelity’ and ‘Science Fiction’, seemingly meant to convey the low budget, amateur approach of filming a Science Fiction movie. This is not to dumb down the genre at all but portray its indie status devoid of any Hollywood blockbuster characteristics that many contemporary Science Fiction films have. New Sci-Fi cinema has unfortunately began to suffer in thematic substance and has been generally made for commercial mass audiences with an ‘artistic’ endeavor to make it big at the box office. The films of this emanating underground genre have similar, but at the same time, completely disparate themes and elements, which can make this genre hard to exactly pin down. As there is no definitive manifesto written on Lo-Fi Sci-Fi, characteristics such as a shoestring budget or outer space themes do not necessarily have to be abided by; this is no Dogme 95, yet. This list is a collection of Science Fiction films, not your generic blockbuster ones, these films are far more interesting, obscure, philosophical, mind bending and often intelligent. Please comment below with any suggestions of films you may feel fit this genre. Apologies if I missed out on any but this is simply a list of 21 of them.

  14. AFI's 100 Years...100 Stars's icon

    AFI's 100 Years...100 Stars

Favs/dislikes: 12:0. In 1999 AFI continued their "100 Years" series with "100 Years...100 Stars." This list sought to identify the top 25 greatest American actors and the 25 greatest American actresses of all time. The criteria was that the performer (or team of performers) must have made their screen debut prior to 1950 or whose death made a complete body of work. This list was designed for those who wish to familiarize themselves with the best films of those 50 stars. Using imdb rankings, I have identified the five most highly regarded films for each performer (excluding TV as well as cameos or other very small parts). I have also excluded duplicates, so for example the five films for Fred Astaire include collaborations with Ginger Rogers that do not appear in her five films. Enjoy!

  22. Best Lesbian Flicks's icon

    Best Lesbian Flicks

Favs/dislikes: 12:0. The best in queer lady cinema - nothing like Room in Rome or that other cheap crap. Not to say there's no trashy stuff here, but it's special and smart trashy stuff. I can only rank the movies when I am on my PC, so new additions below Carol (really, Carol is not a great movie, I should not even include it here) might get ranked higher when I get round to it. The Handmaiden is awful and I absolutely can't recommend it to anyone but teenage boys. Same goes for everything but the first 20-30 minutes of Blue Is the Warmest Colour. It's not a great movie and the sex scene is not only unrealistic but just plain bad. Even bad porn is better because at least it doesn't pretend to be art. Blockers I normally wouldn't include because the lesbian story line doesn't take up much space, but gets an honorary mention because it is surprisingly good and funny. I only add movies I have watched. If you think I have missed a great movie, please send me a pm! :)
