4. Filmkikk's Top 250 Norwegian Films's icon

    Filmkikk's Top 250 Norwegian Films

Favs/dislikes: 0:0. - - - - About us Filmkikk.no is a private initiative by some reviewers who have film as a common passion. There is no company behind it and we therefore have no advertising on our site and a flat structure where everyone is equally important in the review community. We also do not want to have income from what we do. Everyone writes of free will, and it is the interest that drives us, more than the duty to write. The name Filmkikk is intended as a Norwegianization of filmkick and should reflect that we can have a passion or a passion for film. We will use the website to also write "everything" about film, not just pure reviews, but also possibly short posts, thoughts about, comments and about current affairs around film, yes simply everything that film gives us as a "kick" in everyday life... A little history: Filmkikk.no is a new initiative and has its origins in reviewers from filmfront.no. After Filmfront is going to shut down operations, the intention was to create something new. We have brought in a good number of Filmfront reviewers and their reviews are included from Filmfront. But at Filmkikk, we do not want an online community or large film database, beyond what comes with what we write and produce. This is a place for Norwegian film criticism and other opinions about film. - - - - This is a successor list to the Filmfront list. Films are rated out of 6, with the #1 film scored at 5.55 and the #250 film scored at 4.26. Data from May 3rd, 2024. Note: #184 Ice Age (Istid) is tagged as USA and #229 Eddie og Suzanne is tagged as Sweden, but both still show up in the Norwegian list for some reason, so I've left them in. The next two films are Tusen bitar (2014) & Her er Harold (2014).

They will screen exclusively on VHS and 16mm prints. Not found on Icheckmovies: -Anticipation, ou l'amour en l'an 2000 (1967) by Jean-Luc Godard. Vinegar Syndrome - Partner Label Releases

Favs/dislikes: 2:0. Vinegar Syndrome is a film restoration and distribution company with a catalogue of hundreds of feature films, produced primarily between the 1960s and 1990s. Our namesake is a constant reminder of what we’re fighting against. Simply put, the term ‘vinegar syndrome’ describes a chemical reaction that deteriorates motion picture film over time. Film preservation is a race against time, especially with long-neglected genres and underground films. In addition to the standard catalog of releases, Vinegar Syndrome also hosts a variety of partner labels including: Altered Innocence American Genre Film Archive (AGFA) Big World Pictures Canadian International Pictures (CIP) Circle Collective Culture Shock Dark Star Deaf Crocodile Dekanalog ETR Media Factory 25 Film Movement Fun City Editions Gunpowder & Sky Kani Music Box Selects Pulse Video Saturn's Core Subkultur USA Terror Vision Umbrella Entertainment Utopia VHSHitfest XYZ Films Yellow Veil Pictures Note, missing: Altered Innocence Vol. 1 Altered Innocence Vol. 2 Smut Without Smut: Satanic Horror Nite The Adam Rifkin Film Festival The Tortured Soul Trilogy Bloodfeast!: The Adventures of Sgt. 21. TSZDT's The 1,000 Greatest Horror Films's icon

TSZDT's The 1,000 Greatest Horror Films

Favs/dislikes: 395:21. Horror is one of the most readily dismissed genres from critics and film buffs, yet is, arguably, the genre with the most avid and steadfast niche following and remains popular with the general public. With horror films aiming to terrify, spook, shock, disturb, repulse, amuse, entertain and more, it's no wonder the genre is so varied, divisive and controversial. With so many people ignoring or simply not understanding horror, many great films slip under the radar and are relatively unknown to an audience outside of hardcore horror fans. In order to counteract this and bring awareness to the greatness of the genre, this list was created. Compiled using 2,614 lists taken from various critics/polls/magazines/books/websites/forums/horror fans, They Shoot Zombies, Don't They? is intended to be the ultimate canonical top 1000 horror list. Spanning several decades, countries and sub-genres, and using lists from a wide range of people and publications, the resulting list is quite a diverse spread and representation of the best of horror. 22. UNESCO's Memory of the World's icon

    UNESCO's Memory of the World

Favs/dislikes: 140:4. In 1995, to celebrate the centenary of cinema, UNESCO worked together with film archives from 49 countries to "compile and publish a list of approximately 15 films each country considers to be representative of its most significant national cinematic heritage." UNESCO suggested that they consider historical importance and cultural/artistic value, but each film archive was allowed to define its own criteria to determine which films were important. The films of each country are listed in the order of the source-pdf. These countries are included. Angola, Australia, Austria, Bolivia, Brazil, Burkina Faso, Canada, Chile, China, Colombia, Ivory Coast, Czech Republic, Denmark, Ecuador, Egypt, Ethiopia, Finland, Germany, Greece, The Holy See, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Kazakhstan, Laos, Lebanon, Mexico, New Zealand, Norway, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Puerto Rico, South Korea, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Macedonia, Ukraine, United States of America, Venezuela, Yugoslavia These films or collections on the source-pdf are not included in this list, because they are not on IMDb: Canada: - A Selection of OMPB Films Produced between the two World Wars - A Selection of Film Produced by the Government of Canada before the Creation of the National Film Board - Royal Welcome, 8 unknown titles from the Canadian Cameo Series - 4 unknown reels from "Shorts Produced at the London Headquarters of the Canadian Army during the last War" - Animated Films of the National Film Board Ecuador: - part of Obra Filmica Documental Miguel A.
