Whoops, sorry about that :) Adding it now. Thanks for the kind words. It's an interesting list, he leaves off some things that surprised me (Citizen Kane?) and picks some lesser-known films... the lack of female directors is a little bothersome, as well. I met Spike Lee when I was in college, I shot pictures at a press conference he did prior to a film festival at Texas A&M. He's a very interesting man, a talented director, and the list gives some good insight into his directing point of view, I think.
Wonderful list. It has a nice level of variety throughout, with a good number of choices that are actually quite unexpected for a list like this. And, like all good lists on this website, it piques my (and other people's) interest in many, if not all, those featured films that have yet to be seen and makes me want to see them as soon as I possibly can. I hope this list becomes official one day.
(P.S. As a courteous heads-up, Filmista, Vincente Minnelli's An American in Paris is accidentally left off this list. Can you please add the film in whenever you are available to do so?)

Considering Spike's ego, I'm surprised "Do the Right Thing" isn't on this list.Jumping Elephant
My only complaint about this list is that every word is capitalized in the description. :)Filmista
