I watched the German version of Anna Christie which is said to be slightly better than the English one. Both were filmed by MGM. I liked it and I do believe it is a must for Garbo fans (and not only). Impressive that such an old movie can be enjoyed after almost 85 years since it came out. The role of Anna is one of my favorite Garbo roles and I highly suggest watching the movie.
Surprisingly dreary...I thought I would like it more. This must have more repetitions of the word "devil" than any other movie that doesn't have an explicit Satanic theme.
