The entire film is a sequence of amazing shots, great directing and (after a little too long) fine action. And then it's all like: "Whoops, it looks like our time is up. Goodbye." I can't recall the last time I saw an ending this bad.
By the way, I saw the (full) European version, not the torn-up U.S. version (the FAQ on IMDb links to a comparison). But still, it leaves a lot of storylines open.

Beginning was well build, smooth and interesting, nice shots and so on.
Ending in other hand, what, time jumping and pieces missing.
