Why did my parents let me see this when I was 5? The forced moral at the end was a little jarring after all the slapstick, but I will watch literally any cartoon with Tone Loc (see: Fern Gully, Chowder, Titan A.E. etc). 13 years ago -

Yes, this movie was nothing great. It does have some merit for being the first animated/childrens movie (that I can recall) that recognized children growing up without a father, a mother that can't always be there because she has to work, in poverty, and not-white. 13 years 6 months ago
