Pretty good movie overall, although it feels like they really didn't know how to end it and did so abruptly. It felt like it almost had something to say about cancel culture but never fully articulated it. A great concept, though, and pretty enjoyable to watch. 4 months 4 weeks ago -

Remember when the aughts showed the creative minds of Charlie Kaufman, Spike Jonze and Michel Gondry turning American semi-independent cinema on its head? I guess this film owes a lot to movies like Being John Malkovich and Adaptation (Nicolas Cage might remember a thing about it), only with the added A24-lense of dream team Kristoffer Borgli & Ari Aster. If any of these names mean something to you, you will LOVE Dream Scenario. As in Sick of Myself, you have a black comedy dialing up the awkward outcomes of social interactions under very odd circumstances to 10. That rapey fantasizing scene, oh my God!
I'll agree about the less striking third act, but how often do you get a movie like that? Savor it while you can! 4 months 1 week ago
