This is, by far and away, the single worst movie I have ever seen. It somehow managed to be simultaneously predictable, yet mind bogglingly ridiculous all at once. Rose Byrne and Nichole Cage do their best suck what little enjoyment there may have been out of the story. It does feature some good CGI, which is the sole saving grace.
The story itself could actually have been good, had they not made the truly awful decision to bring in the alien/angel/whatever things to save the children, which was so utterly obvious from the first second they were hinted at that it felt like a total waste of 90 minutes building up to the children being taken. Add to that the old Hollywood trick of everything happening just at the last moment, such as Nicholas making up with his father mere seconds ebfore the world ends. Yeah. Profound.
So, in summary, bar some impressive CGI, there is absolutely nothing of note about this movie bar how utterly awful it is in most every way known to man.
I really enjoyed the first two thirds of Knowing and then it all went up the crazy tree and fell apart. The ending was weird and unsatisfying. I agree with Terri's comment. #wtf

While the movie is rather bad, the plane crash is awesome. Irony ftw.Johnkm

The ending, while visually stunning,The subway crash was implausible and destroyed my suspension of disbelief -- apparently Newton's laws of motion don't apply in lower Manhattan.
I've seen worse movies, but I've certainly seen better.

A bunch of school kids draw pictures while one kid writes a bunch of numbers. The teacher is asked about this paper with numbers 50 years later, is then shown said paper and is like “I think that’s it”.
You think that’s it? How many papers with numbers did you see that day?
