At times fascinating, at times meandering, "Manufacturing Consent" is a very close-up look at the man consistently described as "the most important intellectual in the world". Chomsky's views are outlined, and even his critics are given voice to dissent in this (slightly) long documentary pieced together from interviews with alternative press, mainstream media and Chomsky's speaking engagements.

The film is a feast for intellectuals and a brilliant primer for those curious about how the media works to defend the status quo.

Although, it is too long. It can open ordinary peoples' eyes. 9 years 7 months ago
