Did you notice there was a whole lot of leaving and coming back? Perhaps, if they SHOWED us what the hell was happening when they left it might have made for a more exciting movie!
Like SHOW us some fighting in the war and SHOW us Deny's plane crash and SHOW us what Bror was doing on the side and so forth
- a hell of a lot of money was spent to make this look like a beautiful period piece-and it was beautiful (would love to see it on an IMAX screen) but c'mon-couldn't they spend a few extra bucks? I mean did they not see Lawrence of Arabia and maybe have a little inspiration? SHOW me the money!....wait, didn't somebody already say that?...oh well...
We (Bangladesh) are one of victim of British colonization too. So many books written by them about their experience here like this “Out of Africa”… the whole things just irritate me.
Very lovely visually - handsome Redford, beautiful Streep and wonderful cinematography - but I expected so much more from such a highly praised movie. It wasn't boring but it wasn't breathtaking either.
It got everything you want from a story based movie, and every scene always feels very thought out and fits perfectly with the one before and the one after. A movie about a life.
Meryl Streep does perhaps the best Actress in a Leading Role i've seen at least top 10.

Well, this was the final Best Picture of the past 60 years that I hadn't seen yet. Not really worth the wait. Kind of a Harlequin romance plus lions.That hair-washing scene is pure porn for Robert Redford swooners.
