Definitely not a Hollywood film. Slow narrative, minimal plot. Not an easy film to watch and understand, but has a beautiful setup. 10 years 5 months ago -

Emily Browning gives a great performance, and the atmosphere of coldness, alienation and ennui was very well done. However, I did feel that a lot of the dialogue was poor, and towards the end it becomes repetitive and ends abruptly. Reminded me of Dogtooth and Eyes Wide Shut. Definitely an aesthetic feat, although I'm not so sure about the plot. 12 years 2 months ago
