Blast from the past! A film one would never be able to remember properly without the power of the internet [see also The Spirit Is Willing (1967)!
I remember seeing this a few times on TV as a kid (late 70s) and thinking it very cool and risque. I do wonder if I'd have the patience for it today. :) 12 years 7 months ago -
The Doctor
What a silly film, and that's part of it's charm. Yes, there are obvious continuity errors in the ratio between the objects that the giants hold and when the regular actors are holding them, watch the scene in which Beau Bridges is given a bucket of chicken and a coke, which miraculously grow in size when he holds it! There's a lot of errors like that in the film, yet everything is held together by solid direction from Bert I. Gordon, and his cast, which include a young Ron Howard and Toni Basil, who are all energic and joyful. Everything here is underlined by a cool surf rock sounding soundtrack. This film tries real hard, and it sort of pays off in a weird way. 12 years 10 months ago
